I'm Amber J., the breeder behind Mountain Top Hot Tailz located in Taylorsville, NC. Our dogs are more than pets—they are cherished family members. From the moment our puppies are born, they are nurtured, socialized, and loved every single day until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours. Each of our pups has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives, and we are committed to sharing that same joy with others. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies who will become treasured companions in their forever homes. We take pride in going above and beyond for our families. Every puppy comes with a one-year health guarantee, is vet-checked, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and goes home with starter food and a special gift bag to help with their transition. To make the process even more personal, we welcome visits, FaceTime calls, and videos so you can watch your puppy grow and feel confident about your new family member. For families farther away, we are happy to assist with a trusted flight nanny service to safely deliver your puppy right to.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have a huge heart for making love last a long time with our little fur babies you get a faithful friend an family I got into breeding while working for an kennel an falling in love even more every day❤️

  • What makes your program special?

    A lot of socialization is done with our babies. Moms an Dads are social. They have good tempers and great personalities.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Morkie puppies include tan, black & tan tri-color, white and lemon, white, and black and gold. Yorkshire Terrier puppies include chocolate and tan, parti, and black and tan. Maltese puppies include white and white and lemon. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amber

Amber has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amber partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Amber was great to work with. She was super responsive throughout the process and understanding about the need to delay our pick up because of inclement weather. Our new pup, Quinn, is already potty trained, knows his name and how to use the cushioned steps to get on and off the couch. He also knows when big Yorkie sis, Phoenix needs a break from play time.     Amber was wonderful to work with. She sent many photos and videos of my new little puppy as we waited for her to get old enough to come home. She was very responsive to my questions and made this whole process very easy. She sent my little Naomi home with a new collar, food, poop bags etc. which was so appreciated. This is the cutest little puppy and so healthy and well taken care of. I will definitely work with Amber again when I’m ready for another little one.
