I'm Stephanie S., the breeder behind Mountain Valley Poodles located in Henefer, UT. We breed high standard DNA tested AKC Miniature and Moyen poodles. Deep red, red parti, phantoms. 25 years experience with poodles. Our poodles are bred for health and temperament. We focus our program on our deep red lines, and our phantom line, maintaining the perfect structural and AKC standards, and breeding for a social, even, happy temperament.
Q. & A. with Stephanie
Why did you start breeding?
I pretty much told that above. I was around a lot of show groomers and dog shows and breeders through my career and began being very interested in furthering the poodle breed. I have always owned them and will always own one or more the rest of my life.
What makes your program special?
I ensure my females are everything I want in a dog, before I would ever breed them. They are part of my family and my kids and I fight over who gets them at night haha. I know what type of coat I am looking for from my grooming history and what type of temperament and structure from my experience with the breed over the last 25 years. My genetics research will continue as it has become a passion.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include toy, miniature, and moyen sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
