Why did you start breeding?
I love the Shih Tzu Breed, I wanted to share the breed with others in hopes of making others happier, less lonely as well as keeping the Shih Tzu breed thriving. The Story behind the Shih Tzu breed is so wonderful, fascinating and interesting, it is a story that every dog lover would enjoy reading. I have 5 years of experience and I am still continuing to learn daily.What makes your program special?
I am hands on with all my puppies during the birthing process. I work at a vetenarian clinic so I am learning new things everyday. My main concern is health.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

White with a hint of fawn in her ears, very light. She is lovable, playful, runs very fast and jumps very high. Her temperament is bossy but not a mean streak in her. She loves to cuddle. Has a slight underbite as most Shih Tzu’s have. She will be a great mom.

About Mr. Miagi
Small Shih Tzu. Very intelligent, strong, playful, lovable and spunky. Although Mr. Miagi is small, he has big spirit. He plays with the bigger puppies and he keeps up with them. He has a mild temperament and will make a great father one day. I plan to start breading with Mr. Miagi in 2024 between February and June.

Star is a female Shih Tzu over 7 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Meleta decided to make her part of their program. Meleta has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

We had such a wonderful experience with Meleta! From the very beginning, she was kind, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about Shih Tzus. She kept us updated every step of the way with photos and videos, and it was clear how much love and care she puts into her puppies. Our two Shih Tzus, Mochi and Odie, came home at nine weeks old and were already trained to use pee pads, which made the transition so smooth. I initially had concerns about bringing home two puppies from the same litter, but Meleta quickly connected me with past owners who had done the same. Their stories and advice gave me so much reassurance and support — something I truly appreciated. Mochi and Odie are healthy, happy, and full of personality — a true reflection of the time and care Meleta gives her puppies. She goes above and beyond for both her dogs and their new families. Everything went perfect with Meleta!! She answered all of my questions very promptly and never seemed bothered by how many I had. lol She was more than accommodating when it came to picking up our sweet baby boy. She provided us with more than we expected to make Atlas feel comfortable coming home with us and was very thorough on his needs and wants. Even after we left, she still reached out to make sure our new family was adjusting well and if we had any more questions or concerns. We would glad adopt from Meleta again in the future.

Meleta was wonderful. She clearly loves the pups and cares about having healthy, well adjusted dogs. We were lucky enough to meet her and her husband in person when picking up sisters, Tilly and Bertie. They were a delight to meet and we will be keeping in touch. Meleta was responsive, informative, and sent lots of pics as we had a couple of weeks between deciding to adopt the two pups and being able to pick them up in FL while we were there for a Wedding. The pups are doing amazing. Lots of personality and energy. They had to fly on their first day with us and they did so well. I had drop shipped a pet carrier to Meleta and she worked w the pups to get comfortable in the carrier so they weren’t stressed out traveling. They got an A+. Little bit of protest on takeoff, but then slept- and used the service dog stations at the airport. The pre-work by Meleta was key. They are learning SIT, DOWN and STAY. They are learning to wait politely for their food and to exit their crate in the morning. They are both walking on-leash like little pros after just 4 walks!! They are asking to go out if they have to potty at night. They have had two big dog interactions and made fast friends. I couldn’t be more pleased with our sweet little nuggets. They are so smart and are really learning to trust us. They got praise from their groomer for their cooperative behavior during their first puppy cut - it was obvious the Meleta had gotten them accustomed to being groomed and they weren’t scared at all. I can brush their hair, their teeth, play w their feet and wipe their faces and behinds without any protest. Next week is their first new vet visit. Meanwhile they steal the hearts of everyone they meet. So grateful that we connected with Meleta. She made everything so easy. The joy these little pups add to our lives is priceless - we just hope we give them the best life and home possible. Thank you so much!!!
