Meet the breeder

I'm Ravonnia E., the breeder behind Narrow Gate Farm located in Moody, TX. Our high-quality puppies are the result of extensive research and thorough care for our outstanding dogs and puppies. Our mission is to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to select their future homes with careful attention. Our hope is to prepare each of our puppies with thoughtful socialization so they have the best foundation to seamlessly transition into their new homes.

Q. & A. with Ravonnia

  • Why did you start breeding?

My closet friend Eddie Easter owner of Rafter E Ranch was a breeder of The Border Collie and Paint Horses. I spent a lot of time there helping and fell in love. He asked me if i would go on with what he had started. I promised him I would. Once he passed away I took over.
  • What makes your program special?

At Narrow Gate Farm, we take pride in breeding versatile Border Collie puppies that possess a perfect balance of herding drive and intelligence. Our top priority is the health of our puppies, which is why we carefully select health-tested parents to ensure healthier offspring. Not only are our Border Collie puppies genetically superior, but they are also visually stunning. As one of the many Border Collie breeders in Texas, we strive to stand out by raising exceptionally happy and healthy puppies. We firmly believe in preserving the natural drive and ability that defines the Border Collie breed. Whether you're in need of a reliable stock dog or simply seeking an amazing family pet, don't hesitate to get in touch with us for your next Border Collie pup.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, brindle, red, white and blue, white and blue merle, white and red, and white and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

For me, Ravonna was great she answered your questions in a reasonable manner. She never gave any problems, she’s straight forward and authentic. Her puppies are cute as heck and when I got my Sienna I appreciate her for allowing me to take this dog. So if you want some great Border Collies then I’d say go to her =).

We had such a wonderful experience with Narrow Gate Farm! From the very beginning, they were incredibly easy to work with—quick to respond, super helpful, and made the entire process seamless. They provided everything we needed to welcome our pup home and able to answer any questions we had. Our sweet Porter is already such a smart, loving, and loyal companion—we feel so lucky to have adopted him. He’s truly our best friend, and we’re beyond grateful to Narrow Gate Farm for bringing him into our lives!

Using NGF as my choice in breeder was smooth and reputable! She was very easy to communicate with and had no problem being personable during ownership transfer of my girl JuneBug. She was happy to introduce me to all the dogs and show me around. JuneBug came home with verified shot records, no fleas or intestinal parasite problems, and no genetic issues!! NGF is also top 10 on the ABCA list of breeders and it shows! As far as JuneBug, she is great with my kids/dogs, and very smart- learned her name within the first day and now knows many other tricks (we have had her for 1.5weeks). She is also a beautiful dog color and overall genetics. We can’t appreciate her more❤️
