I'm Tara D., the breeder behind Nine Acre Boston's located in Carriere, MS. Committed to producing Boston Terriers of excellent health and temperament. Sires and dams are health tested for JHC, DM, HUU, and CMR1, with BAER, CAER, and Patella testing in progress for future breedings. Puppies are socialized in our home with ENS to promote confident, well-adjusted companions.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love with the Boston Terrier breed when I fell in love with my partner. He had a Boston, and she immediately claimed me the moment we met. Her amazing, smart, and affectionate nature drew me in completely, sparking a passion to learn everything there is to know about this incredible breed and share it with others.

  • What makes your program special?

    We’re passionate about Boston Terriers and dedicated to raising healthy, well-socialized puppies. Each puppy is nurtured in our home with Early Neurological Stimulation and hands-on care, ensuring confident, affectionate companions. All parents are health tested, and carefully select for temperament and structure to maintain the highest standards of quality.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, lilac, seal and white, and brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tara

Tara has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes AKC registration, health guarantee, first vaccinations, deworming, and early socialization to give your puppy a healthy, confident start. A deposit reserves your puppy. Pricing may vary depending on coat coloring and whether breeding rights are included, which are offered only to approved programs at the breeder’s discretion."

Tara may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
