I'm Cherlynne K., the breeder behind Oak Savannah Aussies located in Big Lake, MN. While we are not really active on Good Dog, rest assured we are still a very active breeder. Thank you for considering Oak Savannah Aussies for your next pup! Feel free to visit our main WS or FB page, as shown below. Oak Savannah Aussies (OSA) is committed to timely, thorough, thoughtful communication and complete transparency. We're VERY passionate about Miniature Australian Shepherds, want to improve the breed and are fully committed to treating both our puppies and clients as extensions of the OSA family.
Q. & A. with Cherlynne
Why did you start breeding?
After many years of owning Mini Aussies as pets, and working with them recreationally in agility, we decided to begin a program so that we could consistently improve the breed and, over time, build a community of pups we brought into the world and the people who welcome them into their lives after week 8...we call them, "Our OSA Family".
What makes your program special?
Aside from paying close attention to genetic testing, careful pairings and raising all pups in our home, I'd say the primary way in which OSA is special is our level and type of communication. Prior to beginning our program, we'd encountered MANY issues relating to communication with/from other breeders and knew we would always want our clients to feel more special than we did.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, red tri, red merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
