I'm Katelynn E., the breeder behind Oakland Beaucerons located in Batavia, NY. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful active family pets and breeder support for the life of the puppy.
Q. & A. with Katelynn
Why did you start breeding?
I have helped a few breeders of varying breeds since I was 16, and saw at a fairly young age the value in purebred dogs. I gained a lot of insight on the many decisions made when breeding dogs and having goals for your program.
Also having grown up on a dairy the importance of genetics is needed for a successful program.
What makes your program special?
My goal is to preserve the breed and it's wonderful qualities. Naturally aloof, yet confident, protective, yet gentle with children, bidable in work, yet intelligently independent when needed.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include harlequin and black and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
