I'm Brett H., the breeder behind Oakley's Mountain View Kennel located in Winnemucca, NV. Here at Mountain View Kennels we are family run unit and it is our passion to breed healthy and smart dogs that make great family dogs that love to get out and have some fun. As a professional dog trainer with 15 years experience and a lifelong animal lover, our goal is to breed puppies that will have a long and happy life. Besides health, we are very concerned with our dogs' behavior and mental health and never breed dogs with ANY kind of eccentric behavior. We want our puppies to be trainable and balanced adults with a long life filled with joy and fun. All of our dog's do some kind of work like waterfowl/upland hunting, antler shed hunting, odor recognition "nose work," and wilderness as well as urban tracking. With years of professional training experience, we pride ourselves on the life long support for training and behavior issues we can give. We are here to help and answer those questions that only someone with experience can. There is nothing like an awesome lab to get you out for those evening walks or go explore the outdoors.

Labrador Retriever
About Joe
Joe is a smart and highly trainable guy with a very companion oriented disposition. He is ready for a run, swim, hike, or a nice game of fetch. He is just happy to be with me whatever we are doing. He is very motivated to retrieve and a solid hunting dog. He is a great water dog and a really good grouse dog with his tight radius and easy obedience. Joe is a really nice guy, always ready to lay on his back for some rubs and completely trustworthy around other dogs, kids, and people.

Labrador Retriever
About Cole
Cole is a super dog from pointing lines. He is a great house dog with superior drive and work ethic in the field. Cole passes on his loving personality and love for work to his puppies. He is the kind of dog that lab people really like, super calm in the house and a beast for work. He will sit and watch the TV and especially likes watching animals, he is a big fan of watching Lassie.. Cole is active in upland hunting and has a great nose for finding pheasants, chukar, and grouse. He is very trainable and fun to work with. Cole is clear on his DNA panel and hips/elbows.

Labrador Retriever
About CJ
CJ is a very sweet and kind girl. She is more athletic than most dogs and really likes to go for walks and hikes. She is good around other dogs and has yet to meet someone she deems a stranger, she is very much oriented towards people. CJ was tracking on hard surfaces at 6 months old and received her first detection title at 7 months old. She is very capable to do anything asked of her and has a work ethic that makes me love this dog. She is a beast in the water no other way to put it. She will swim all day, I take my kayak and she will swim with me for miles for exercise. She is an active dog that likes to exercise and then come in the house and find a soft spot to nap. CJ is clear on her DNA panel and hips/elbows.

Brett at Oakley’s Mountain Top Kennels was great to work with. They run a quality breeding operation and I couldn’t be happier with my new housemate! The puppy is healthy, smart, and athletic. You can tell he comes from a great line.

My experience with Oakley's Mountain Top Kennel could not have gone better. The owners, Brett and Rebecca, were exceptional. Their responsiveness and the care they exhibit for their dogs was out of this world. And this shows in the quality of the pup I adopted. I adopted Brian five days ago, and I have been amazed. I am 64 years old and have owned or lived with dogs most of my life. But this pup is different. At just over 8 weeks he is 100% house broken, 100% crate trained, obeys all commands, sleeps through the night, travels perfectly (car or airplane), and is the most social dog I've ever seen. In all honesty, this is the best dog ever. If you are searching for a high quality Labrador retriever puppy, look no further than Oakley's Mountain Top Kennel.
