Meet the breeder

I'm Frank B., the breeder behind Otter Creek Kennels located in Ohatchee, AL. Our dogs are health tested through Embark and OFA certification. We strive to provide open lines of communication between future dog parents and kennel management. We are focused on producing dogs that can thrive in the house and be fierce hunters in the field. We offer training for our clients.

Q. & A. with Frank

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with the breed through our foundation dog Merlin and strive to breed for a purpose of creating UK lines intertwined with our hunting plantation lines to get that drive and energy mixed with our on-off switch dogs to create that dog that is a great house dog but can get out and hunt.
  • What makes your program special?

We focus on puppy placement instead of picking order to ensure that you get the right puppy to fit your family and lifestyle by performing temperament testing and drive testing throughout the first 8 weeks of life.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our English Cocker Spaniel puppies include red and white, liver white and tan, liver and tan, black white and tan, black and white, black and tan, black, blue roan, golden, liver, liver roan, and red. English Springer Spaniel puppies include liver and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in a kennel on my property.
