I'm Jeff L., the breeder behind Perfect Puppies located in North Myrtle Beach, SC. Puppies are dewormed every 2-3 weeks, up-to-date-on vaccinations, start early with potty-training, are vet checked before going home and come with a one year health guarantee.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Could not find any Maltese in my area when I lost my 17 year old pup. Drove hundreds of miles to get a replacement and to help with grieving. Decided to start providing puppies to my area especially, and help put Maltese puppies into the arms and hearts of others experiencing the same situation. Most of the new puppy parents lost a Maltese recently. But others also found love for the first time with a Maltese puppy.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Jeff at Perfect Puppies was so helpful with all of our questions. We were wanting a buddy for our older dog and it was important to us to get a purebred, healthy puppy from a reputable and knowledgeable breeder. We didn't care how far we had to drive or fly, but once we found Shortcake (now Tessie) on Good Dog, we knew we found her!! Jeff answered all of our questions thoroughly and even gave us some tips on potty training that was helpful. Picking her up was a breeze, we loved the care package that came with her, and all of the dogs were well cared for and obviously loved. We even did a DNA test on our girl after we got her home and she was 100% Maltese with ZERO negative heredity genetics for the breed.     I'm so glad Jeff offered an adult female Maltese named Sandy he was retiring from breeding. I'm 76 yrs old and didn't want a puppy. My last fur baby was a rescue adult female Maltese of unknown age named "Holly." I was always a big dog person (Labs) until I took in Holly, who went to doggie heaven a couple years ago. A Maltese will just steal your heart as Sandy stole mine as soon as I saw her picture on Good Dog. Jeff patiently worked with me so Sandy could be mine. I highly recommend Jeff as a breeder and all-around good, caring person who truly cares about his precious Maltese family.
