I'm Julie H., the breeder behind Pierhaus Minature Schnauzers located in Travelers Rest, SC. I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on its family. I am a small-scale breeder, allowing me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

Why did you start breeding?
Miniature Schnauzers have proven to be wonderful companions in my life. As I learned more about responsible breeding practices, I wanted to do my part to produce healthy, well-bred puppies. It has been an incredible experience. I have loved the process and enjoy placing puppies with loving, forever families.What makes your program special?
My dogs are an integral part of my family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family -- that they have a purpose. I look forward to connecting you with your next beloved companion!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Julie
Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price also includes the guarantee of AKC registration, the first round of vaccinations, deworming, dewclaws removed, tails docked, and puppy socialization. All puppies are $1200 regardless of size. All puppies are AKC salt/pepper , black and silver. Puppies have tails docked, and Dewclaws removed at 3 days old. Full vet check , first boosters, worming at 6 weeks old. Puppies go home a 7-8 weeks. I send videos, pics of each puppy to their families throughout the entire 8 weeks to keep progress of their baby. I have color coded collar on each puppy so you can easily identify your baby in video’s and pics.”

I interviewed many breeders of Mini-Schnauzers before settling with Pierhaus. Julie is amazing, she keeps in contact with the buyer throughout the pregnancy and sends pictures regularly. When we went to pick up our Jeb, the breeders home is well kept, clean and the puppies are well cared for, something other breeders didn't seem to do to. Pierhaus is above the rest and we will be back soon for a little girl! Jeb is everything we wanted in a mini-schnauzer so far! Less teething on human hands would be great! :) We are super excited to have found Julie and Pierhaus!
