I'm Nita S., the breeder behind Potomac River Aussies located in Laurel, MD. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality Mini and Toy Australian Shepherds into the homes and hearts of their forever families. Our dogs live in our home under-foot and are true to nature velcro dogs. We love on them all day everyday. We are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions.

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle and black. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Nita

Nita has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Listed prices are for limited registration (pet only). Full registration (pending evaluation) will increase the price by $500. In the event a request is made for a puppy for a particular color or sex, and one is not available within the designated litter, the deposit will be applied to the next litter (with special priority in pick order) or returned to the buyer at the breeder’s discretion."

Contract & health guarantee

Nita may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Nita and Potomac River Aussies go far above and beyond in raising their puppies. It is obvious that the positive vibes have affected the character of our puppy, who is the best dog we have ever had already. Carefully trained with love- and came with a goodie bag of everything you could possibly need for the first week. This has really helped us provide the best care for our little guy. I cannot recommend this seller enough.
