I'm Elise E., the breeder behind Pretty Prairie Cavaliers located in Gardner, KS. I’ve owned dogs my entire life and have had Cavaliers for over a decade. At Pretty Prairie Cavaliers, our dogs are family first. Puppies are raised in our home with love, early socialization, and health-tested parents to ensure happy, well-adjusted companions.
Q. & A. with Elise
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because I’m deeply invested in the health and preservation of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed. I want to contribute to producing healthy, well-tempered dogs that honor the breed’s standards. Eventually, I hope to breed dogs I can personally show in the ring, combining my passion for the breed with active participation in the community.
What makes your program special?
What makes my breeding program special is that we are not mass producing puppies. All our dogs are health tested and live in our home. Puppies are raised in a loving, family environment from day one, giving them a better head start in life than kennel-raised pups. This close socialization helps ensure healthy, well-adjusted puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
