I'm SuAnne R., the breeder behind Promise Keeper Kennel located in Cape Girardeau, MO. Our goal is to ensure every dog that comes from our program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves our care. We provide each of our pups with lots of socialization and love, and we are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding policies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have been raising Aussies for years and have gotten into breeding, showing conformation and training for Rally and Obedience in the last several years. We love this breed for their train-ability and devotion to the family.

  • What makes your program special?

    We now have the time to invest in each one of our puppies to give them the absolute best beginning to their life. We raise them using the Puppy Culture method.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from SuAnne

SuAnne has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, SuAnne partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing our puppies with the correct home. They are continually evaluated both for temperament and conformationally. Final assessments are done at 8 weeks of age for conformation if the puppy has not been selected up to that point.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes applicable vaccinations and deworming.”

SuAnne may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
