Q. & A. with Lori

  • Why did you start breeding?

I feel in love with the English Cream when introduced in a special hospital for children. This filled my heart so much I wanted to share that experience with others. This lead our entire family to breeding English Cream Goldens and as my children got older over the years they developed a love for breeding as well and we included other breeds. This is a family business.
  • What makes your program special?

I am in the medical field for humans. I take a great interest in health not only of people but animals as well. Promise Land puppies are sold with a lifetime of support. If for any reason you aren't able to keep your Promise Land dog please give us the opportunity to find another loving home.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Boston Terrier puppies include black brindle and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Lori

Lori has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Lori partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Go home dates a puppy can be exposed to protozoa and worms from a mother's milk. We do deworm our mothers every two weeks while nursing as well as puppies. However due to protozoa live by the liver of a mother they can still be exposed until they are weened off the mother. At 7 weeks they are weened off mother and go through a stronger dewormer. We don't set up a pick date until puppies have had their vet check at 7 weeks , vaccines and stool results come back from the lab. This is due to if we have to re deworm a puppy it allows us the ability to do so. The date on Good dog is an estimated pick up date so there is no confusion. We bring families in to meet puppies when they are 6-7 weeks of age and decide which puppy will go with each family. The smaller breeds we sell we make sure the puppy is at least 2.5lbs before it goes to it's new home. ”

Lori did such an excellent job of matching me with my perfect golden girl. She was responsive and incredibly knowledgeable about all issues related to puppy health and behavior. My puppy was in great health when I picked her up, and I really appreciated the discount on Trupanion health insurance. You can tell how much Lori loves what she does. I highly recommend her.

Our experience with Lori at the Promised Land has been wonderful! Lori worked with us knowing we had just lost our beloved Maddie. We had a visit to meet our newest addition to our family and then was able to pick up our Nellie on the 20th of September. Nellie is the sweetest chill puppy. After only a few days she is adjusting to her new home. All of the instructions Lori shared with us has been spot on! We've had dogs our entire lives and this has been the best transition for sure. This is all because of Lori, she's very knowledgeable and truly cares about her pups!! Thank you Lori!

I loved that she was knowledgeable about everything regarding the breed since this was our first golden. Lori really is there to help you out as much as you need it!

We had a wonderful experience with Lori and couldn’t be happier with our 15-week-old Cavalier puppy. Lori was responsive, transparent, and clearly devoted to her dogs’ health and happiness. Our puppy arrived well-socialized, healthy, and confident, which speaks to the loving care she received. Lori provided clear guidance, complete records, and followed up to ensure the transition went smoothly. We’re thrilled with our new family member and highly recommend Lori to anyone looking for a responsible, caring breeder.
