I'm Justin & Cecili C., the breeder behind Pups on the Ridge located in Neosho, MO. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. Raising puppies has been so much fun, although we take our role in raising them seriously. Breeding has helped us share the joy of our dogs with other families and individuals.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was a professional rabbit and cavy (guinea pig) breeder for over 20 years. During that time I was able to develop 2 different color varieties that became recognized by the American Cavy Breeders Association. Due to life changes it has led me to dogs. We breed with the goal to better the breed while being able to provide high quality puppies to families that will love them as much as we do.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are our family. They live with us in the house and are given constant love and affection. We dont believe in over breeding and retire our dams after no more than 5 litters. Our puppies are played with daily in order to build their personalities and bond well with their new families. We also start potty pad training and kennel training so their transition is more seamless.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Companion Cross puppies are small size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Companion Cross puppies include cream and white. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, black and tan, and chocolate. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Justin & Cecili

Justin & Cecili has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price guarantees the puppy to be current on all vaccinations and deworming at the time of pick-up. It also includes Registration application, a vet health check, 1 year genetic health guarantee and 30 days of puppy insurance. A non-refundable deposit of $250 will ensure your puppy will be held for you till the time of pick-up. Please contact us before placing a deposit to work out dates and both parties are in agreement.”

  • Hip Dysplasia , Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Justin and his wife were very easy to work with and provided insightful and clear communication around what to expect with our new pup. Mickey, who was renamed Gizmo, is such a sweet and playful guy. He is well socialized with people and animals, and fit right in! He gets along with my 9 year Golden Retriever and cat perfectly. I opted for the flight nanny service to get him to California and Rochelle delivered him to my work (which was an hour drive from the airport).     We enthusiastically recommend Justin without reservation. We searched breeders here in Tennessee, and in Oklahoma and Kentucky, and luckily found Justin in Missouri. We found his breeding ethics to be outstanding. His breeding stock is A++ in health and disposition. Justin himself is a wonderful person and a very professional businessman. He goes beyond the expected to accommodate buyers such as ourselves. He went out of his way to find us the right puppy at a price that wouldn’t break our bank account. In addition, he was so quick to respond to our inquiries no matter how trivial they may have been since this was our first time owning a cavalier. He was most helpful to match us up with another delivery that saved us four hours of driving time. And last, but not least we are so happy and in love with our new puppy, Winter. He is so loving and sweet, and has proven to be great for our physical and mental health. He loves to go for walks, makes us laugh all the time, and wants to be next to us to be petted and groomed. Overall, Justin is the perfect Breeder and Winter is the perfect dog for us.
