Temperament testing is complete! Here’s a little clip of and Yellow’s evaluation. You can hear our tester saying “I didn’t even call you.” This portion of the test is meant to determine social attraction. Do you think she has a high level of social attraction??🐶🐾🩷

This meal was put to good use! We use each meal time to train & socialize puppies to the world. Today’s meal was their first time outside and to the soundtrack of a nearby chainsaw. Lots of good firsts and positive associations made!

Puppies are growing fast! Their noses have started to turn from pink to black, and umbilical cords have all fallen off. It looks like tomorrow will be their first pedicures 🐾. And pup school is off to a great start! Today’s scent introduction is cucumber 🥒

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
About Molly
Molly is a female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Amanda decided to make her part of their program. Amanda has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Excellent health testing
Excellent level
Queen Cavaliers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Syringomyelia (MRI)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
