I'm Michele S., the breeder behind Queen City Yorkies located in Charlotte, NC. Our dogs are our beloved companions. We care deeply about this breed and are proud to be responsible Yorkshire Terrier breeders. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!
Q. & A. with Michele
Why did you start breeding?
I had researching breeding , learned all I could and decided in 2019 to purchase my first breeding chocolate Stud. In 2022 I have 6 Breeding Yorkies. While I love all Yorkies I want to ensure they are purebred and genetically sound for breeding therefore all my dogs are genetic and health tested by Wisdom Panel ( easier to read) or Embark Testing.
What makes your program special?
We do NOT believe in docking tails or dew claws. They are not unneeded appendages. Tails are used for communication, they are used for balance, they are used when a dog poops. All other countries have made this practice illegal.....the USA is slowly moving in that direction.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, parti, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
