Sharon B.

Breeder of Dachshunds

Meet the breeder

I'm Sharon B., the breeder behind Racebrook Dachshunds located in Seymour, CT. We offer top-quality puppies born, raised, and loved in our home that are bred to the Dachshund Club of America standards. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and conformation. We produce quality, sound dogs in every way. They are the perfect addition to any loving family!

Q. & A. with Sharon

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was born and raised on a small working farm with a love for the Spring and the new life it brought to our farm -- baby rabbits, ducks, chickens, goats, etc. Breeding dogs has been a way to let me keep a bit of the farm with me. I love my life with dogs, so, breeding is part of me.
  • What makes your program special?

Every litter I produce is produced for me first and foremost. I put a lot of thoughtful commitment into temperaments, faults, complementing traits, and structural improvement. These are always in the front of my mind with every breeding. If I don't want to live with an issue, I will not breed it in a pup. I produce a beautiful, sound pup that I love sharing with others!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
