I'm Sydney S., the breeder behind Rafter CS Labradors located in Ericson, NE. Our goal is to produce versatile Labradors that thrive as family companions, demonstrate natural hunting instincts and working ability, and have the structure and soundness to be competitive in the show ring. We complete health and temperament testing to ensure we are breeding the very best.

Why did you start breeding?
I knew I was really passionate about English type labradors early on, but in 2014 I attended a litter evaluation at a local kennel club just for fun and although I had no idea what was going on, I loved it and then later on, I re-connected with the breeder who raised the litter that was evaluated, who is now one of my breed mentors.What makes your program special?
At Rafter CS Labradors, we focus on producing well-rounded, healthy dogs that fit naturally into family, working, and hunting environments. Our dogs are raised as part of our daily life, alongside our children and other animals, which we believe helps shape their confident, adaptable temperaments.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Lainey
Lainey is the sweetest girl with a calm, laid-back temperament and a heart of gold. She’s incredibly loyal and always close by, with the perfect “off switch” at home. While she’s mellow and easygoing, she still loves getting out for walks and enjoys the excitement of sports like dock diving and Fast CAT. She has completed all recommended health testing, including OFA hips, elbows, heart, and eyes, along with a full genetic panel. Lainey holds titles in both Fast CAT and dock diving, and she has earned 6 conformation points, including a 3-point major.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Sydney was amazing!!!!!! She went above and beyond to get us our new puppy! Not only did she send us videos and information through out the process, she truly cared about rehoming our new puppy!
