I'm Christine K., the breeder behind Rarity Royales located in Hopkinton, MA. Royales originated as a careful blend of French Bulldog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and Boston Terrier. We found that the trio makes for dogs with a sweet, loyal, and playful disposition. Our dogs inspired us to begin responsibly breeding to expand the breed and share them with others.
Q. & A. with Christine
Why did you start breeding?
My whole life seems to have been driving me here. I have always had animals in my life. First dogs, then cats, then chickens. With chickens I took my first steps into breeding and ended up with flock of 40 at one point. Along the way I became a dog trainer, and now I've come back to my original love, dogs and cats, breeding both.
What makes your program special?
I am working to surmount the health and temperament issues with French and English Bulldogs but ending up with a breed that still reflects the look that we all love with both and a sweet and loving temperament for the ultimate companion pet.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle, cream, fawn, white, white and fawn, white and brindle, tricolors, liver, fawn and white, brindle and white, blue fawn, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
