I'm Laurie F., the breeder behind Ray of Sunshine Spaniels LLC located in Ocala, FL. We have loved cockers and cavaliers for many years, they stole our hearts right from the start. We found ourselves wanting to get more involved in raising well breed, healthy and happy puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have a close friend who breeds Cocker Spaniels and decided that we wanted to get involved in improving the quality of the breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our adult dogs have been DNA & health tested through Embark or GenSol. Our puppies will go to their new homes when they are at least 8 weeks old. They will be given a microchip, a Florida health certificate, dewormer, age appropriate vaccinations and a one year health guarantee. They will go to their new homes with a bag of puppy food, toys, and a blanket.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cocker Spaniel puppies include black, black and white, buff and white, red, and buff. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Laurie

Laurie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,500 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price depends on the breed of choice and AKC registration. All puppies will receive their 1st set of vaccines, a microchip, Florida Health Certificate, and a one-year health guarantee. A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a puppy. If we don’t produce the puppy you desire the deposit can be transferred to a future litter.”

Laurie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Laurie was wonderful to work with. She was so helpful from the very beginning when we expressed interest in two of her King Charles spaniels. She sent weekly updates with pictures and videos. It was so fun to see them grow and reassuring to know they were in such good hands. Laurie answered all of our questions about the breed. These dogs are such beautiful sweet dogs. I knew this breed was cute (especially these dogs) but I had no idea they were also so sweet and smart!

    Laurie is awesome, after my initial call with her I knew I selected the right breeder she was fully transparent her communication was exceptional she kept me informed on updates along with videos photos and weight etc. and called my puppy by his name so he was familiar. the hard part was waiting for the pick up date which she graciously met me in Tampa so my trip from Naples wouldn’t be too long. My boy Rylee is now with me on day two and has adjusted wonderfully and he is a freaking JOY i will certainly seek Laurie for my next Cavalier
