I'm Elisabeth W., the breeder behind Red Barn Cavaliers located in Mclean, IL. We begin training our puppies when their eyes and ears open to optimize their docile nature into amazing pets. We teach puppies their names, commands, manners, and more. We prepare your puppy for going home with you! We stream a live feed of the puppy pen from 9AM to 9PM. Visit our website for more!
Q. & A. with Elisabeth
Why did you start breeding?
We have always been a dog family, but became interested in breeding Cavaliers in 2018 after our toddler son passed away (pictured above) and we witnessed the amazing impact cavaliers had with our grieving children in ways that other breeds were unable to reach them. It was a difficult and expensive journey, so we wanted to breed healthy Cavaliers for families at affordable prices.
What makes your program special?
We keep our families very involved with frequent updates, pictures, videos, and FaceTime visits. We have a live feed that runs from 9am to 9pm. We raise our puppies from birth. Expecting moms sleep with us. When labor begins, we move Mom to her whelping pen nearby. Pups stay in our room until their eyes and ears have opened. We train each puppy extensively - you can read much more on our website!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim and ruby. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
