I'm Josh D., the breeder behind Red Shed Puppies located in Allendale, IL. Our family's love for collies began in 2015 with our black tri, Hank. From his gentleness with scared children, to protecting our chickens and winning our guests' heart with his sweet spirit, he awakened a dream in our hearts to provide for others the joy we had experienced. Hank could not be bred due to a genetic flaw, but it was from him that our dream was born.
Then in 2019, our oldest daughter, Eden, added Heidi, a sable female, to our family. While she was a little more rambunctious in spirit, she was the perfect pace for our now pre-teen children. She was a super fast learner and did "all the tricks", much to the kids' delight! We knew there was so much more to breeding than just love, so we got to work. After building a climate controlled dog room, researching and talking to breeders, finding a stud that worked genetically with our Heidi, we were beyond grateful to finally welcome our first litter of 10 healthy pups in June, 2022. We are just beginning our journey with this breed and are still learning every day. With all of that said, welcome to our little red shed! We are pleased to invite you to come meet us, our rough collies, our new puppies, and find out why we fell in love with them. Hank will be waiting just inside the front gate!
