I'm David & Cara P., the breeder behind Red Skye Puppies located in Republic, MO. Our puppies are raised in our home with lots of love as part of our family. We breed for health and temperament first & foremost and use a combination of protocols including ENS, ESI, Puppy Culture & Avidog in our program to raise the healthiest and most well-adjusted family companions that we can.

Why did you start breeding?
We started breeding Cavaliers ten years ago when we fell in love with their affectionate & sweet personalities. Three years ago, we had our first litter of Cavapoos & instantly fell in love with the sweet disposition they got from the Cavalier & intelligence from the poodle. Today, we breed both Cavaliers & Cavapoos with the occasional Poodle litter & cannot imagine doing anything else!What makes your program special?
Our dogs are much more than just breeding dogs to us- they are very important members of our family! They live in our home with us & spend their days getting lots of walks, playing & snuggling. We raise our puppies so they get exposed to many situations & sounds in addition to the ENS, ESI & Puppy Culture protocols that we follow to raise the healthiest dogs with the best possible temperaments.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Cavapoo puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cavapoo puppies include blenheim, tri-color, sable, black and white, black and tan, red, cream, black, and apricot. Poodle puppies include apricot, black, red, parti, and phantom. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, black and tan, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

After buyers complete the application and screening process, David & Cara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

"Prices start at $1500 for AKC Cavalier, Poodle & Cavapoo puppies. Price includes health guarantee, health record, vaccines, a microchip, up to date deworming & toy with mom's scent. Once you decide to get a puppy from us, we do require a $500 non-refundable reservation fee that will then go towards the final price of your puppy."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 16 Mar •…Introducing our gorgeous “Spice” litter! These sweet little ones were born three weeks ago and will be ready to go home in April. After waitlist selections, we have two gorgeous boys and one girl still available for reservation. Their dad is 18 pounds and their mom is 20 pounds, so we anticipate for them to mature somewhere in that 18-22 pound range as adults +/-.

Litter update on 15 Mar •…Introducing our sweet Paprika! After our waitlist has made their selections, she is now available for reservation. She is a gorgeous deep red with that typical low- nonshedding Cavapoo coat that everyone wants. She is super sweet, loving and comes from our smartest Poodle mama we have ever had. She will mature to one of our biggest Cavapoos- around 20-25 pounds estimated fully grown- the perfect size for cuddling and adventuring. If you are interested in more info about her, please reach out to us. I do not expect her to be available for long!

Program update on 14 Mar •…We had pregnancy ultrasounds done this week for our expecting mamas, and we should be having an estimated 11 little Cavapoos joining us next month! These babies will be our smallest size puppies around 12-15 ish pounds give or take at maturity. We should be expecting a rainbow of colors including reds, apricots, blenheims, merles, blacks, black and whites, etc. We do have a waitlist for our puppies, so if you are interested in potentially reserving a puppy from one of these litters, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Program update on 19 Feb •…Vet visits have gotten a lot more fun for the puppies since their emotional support human has gotten a little bigger and can provide all the pets, hugs and kisses they could ever want! Raising puppies has always been such a joy for our family, but watching them interact with our daughter has made it even more special. It’s also been a great way to expose the puppies to young children from an early age since most of our puppies go to homes with families. ❤️

About Dutton
Dutton is our gorgeous AKC Blenheim Cavalier King Charles stud. We searched long and hard for a puppy to replace our foundational sire who is getting older. When we saw Dutton, we knew that he would be the perfect choice to add some genetic diversity into our program and improve our lines. He is within the breed standard weight of a Cavalier at 18 pounds, has excellent confirmation, comes from Champion and Grand Champion import lines, is DNA clear for any genetic issues that Cavaliers are known for and has passed his OFA health testing. In addition to his stunning pedigree and health testing, he is the sweetest boy with a great temperament. He loves everyone, enjoys to play fetch in the yard, loves cuddles on the couch and has that quintessential Cavalier personality that everyone wants. We feel so blessed to have him as part of our program and cannot wait to share his show career and future babies with you!

About Noella
Noella is our super sweet Cream/ Apricot AKC registered Miniature Poodle. She has a gorgeous cream colored coat with darker apricot highlights throughout. She weighs 18 pounds and is the daughter of our foundational dam, Skye, and our amazing stud, Sherlock, giving us a lot of insight into her family history, lines, pedigree and generational health. Noella's dad, Sherlock, is our 9 pound CHIC certified AKC Miniature Poodle. He is a very sweet boy who loves to get pets, snuggle on the couch and most of all, play fetch! He comes from Champion lines and has had 13 Champions on the Dam side of his pedigree in the last four generations alone! He has also had all of his genetic tested completed as well as OFA Health testing to ensure the healthiest puppies. We feel very fortunate to have Sherlock as part of our breeding program and also two of his daughters now as well to carry on his impeccable pedigree. Noella's mom, Skye, was our foundational AKC Poodle dam. She is the dog we initially started our program with, named our program after and still has a forever home with us here as a pet. She is now 8 years old and still completely healthy. Skye had multiple genetic tests run through various labs for over 240 genetic diseases to ensure she would not pass anything on to any of her offspring, and she was clear for everything. She also had all of her OFA testing completed with passing results and received her CHIC certification. Skye was one of the best mama Poodles we ever had in our program, and it is clear that Noella is following in her footsteps which makes us so happy to see.

About Kona
Kona is our beautiful and sweet AKC Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is about 12-13 pounds as an adult right in the perfect AKC weight range. She is extremely loving and enjoys being a lap dog. She has a very gentle and sweet temperament. She comes from Champion lines and has had extensive DNA testing completed for over 230+ genetic diseases as well as OFA health testing to ensure she has the healthiest puppies possible.

About Nalani
Nalani is by far the smartest dog in our program. She learned to sit, shake and high five in one five minute session and continues to do all her "tricks" consistently. She is a very sweet and loving apricot AKC Miniature Poodle. She is the perfect compact size to go on hikes, cuddle and play all kinds of games. Nalani comes from very good Poodle lines, has been DNA tested for over 240 genetic diseases and is CHIC certified having passed all of her OFA health tests to ensure that she cannot pass anything on to her puppies that we can prevent for the healthiest puppies.

About Duke
Duke is our beautiful AKC Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He is such a sweet, loving, happy and easy going boy. He loves absolutely everyone and everything and has the quintessential Cavalier personality. He is the dog that we have had the longest in our program, and we feel so fortunate to have him as one of our foundational building blocks to our program. We now have several daughters and granddaughters from him to continue on his lines. He comes from solid Champion lines and has had extensive genetic testing for over 230+ diseases and OFA health testing completed to ensure he has the healthiest puppies possible. He is also still heart clear at over five years old as per the Mitral Valve Standard of Breeding for Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

You can tell they truly care and put lots of work into ensuring their puppies are well taken care of from birth until Go Home and even after!
