I'm JANET RAY B., the breeder behind Reds Studio located in Hamilton, MT. My BT's are 'celebrities' with my customers. They have a great deal of interaction and socialization. Every Sunday I cook a big family dinner for my children, their spouses grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The children are taught to treat them well, and handle them gently.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have a hard time classifying myself as a breeder because I do not believe my girl should have more than two litters. My daughter and I both loved the Boston terrier breed, and she wanted to breed her dog. But unfortunately my daughter passed away before that happened, and so I chose to have a litter for her.

  • What makes your program special?

    Definitely socialization. My dogs come to work with me everyday in a boutique and Salon environment. Frequently they sit in my clients laps while they're having their hair done. School children often stop by to visit them. And I teach these kids to make sure that my dogs always 'earn' their treats with simple acts such as 'sit'.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and white, seal and white, and black brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes first shots and vet check. Also included is starter pack of puppy kibble, blanket that carries mom sent, and t-shirt that carries my scent and a toy that they are familiar with. Once deposit is made, you may change pups name, and I will begin using it. I also have a live stream camera set up on my puppies and will offer you the invite to view the pups at any time.”

  • DNA Profile

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
