Q. & A. with Shirley
Why did you start breeding?
To get my own Cavalier, I found a reputable breeder who had two female litter-mates. He considered both to have show potential. We took both girls. They matured into wonderful examples of the breed and showed them. After reading books, attending Cavalier and dog shows, consulting other breeders and our vet, we became breeders of these wonderful pups.
What makes your program special?
We strive to breed intelligent, happy Cavalier King Charles Spaniels according to the AKC standard. We pay particular attention to temperament, health, and size. Cavaliers are very affectionate with unique personalities. Our dogs are dual registered with the AKC and CKCSC and treated with love as family members. We keep our numbers small in order to give them the individual attention they deserve.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
