I'm Brittney H., the breeder behind Rock Canyon Australian Shepherds located in St. George, UT. Since 2012, I’ve been dedicated to raising exceptional Australian Shepherds with a strong focus on health, temperament, and structure. All of my dogs are fully health and genetic tested, ensuring a solid foundation for every puppy.
Q. & A. with Brittney
Why did you start breeding?
My grandma bred Lhasa Apsos for 30 years. I loved what she did, and always loved when it came time for puppies to be born. She was my reason as to why I wanted to breed. She did great by her breed and I strive to do the same.
What makes your program special?
It’s very small! We have four females. We are very family-oriented! My little kids and husband help me with everything and our Aussies go everywhere with us. We only breed AKC/ASCA registered Aussies. And they must pass all health and genetic testing before any breeding happens. Temperament is a big must as well. Raising kids and having other animals. My aussies must have great temperaments.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red & white, black & white, black, red merle, blue merle, red, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Brittney was very helpful and outlined the process clearly from getting on the wait list to picking up our puppy. She’s very knowledgeable about the breed and always responded quickly to questions.
We ended up getting our first choice from the available pups, and picked him up at 8 weeks old. He’s doing great! He’s super smart, playful, adventurous but very sweet and seems to have a great temperament. You can tell he was exposed to all kinds of sounds, car rides, and raised with a lot of love.
