Why did you start breeding?
Growing up around labs and Aussies created a love for good dogs. Along with the help of a mentor, I started with a desire to help more people experience the joy of owning an Aussie.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Russell
Russell has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes registration paperwork, first two sets of vaccines, health pamphlets, dewormings, etc. Deposit comes out of the total and allows us to hold your pup for you.”
Contract & health guarantee
Russell may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We had an amazing experience with Russell and Rocky Mountain Aussies from start to finish! We were in a somewhat unique situation having lost our Aussie mix of 10 years very unexpectedly to cancer a few months prior and not being sure how to navigate the decision of eventually bringing a puppy into our home. Russell was very understanding and was quick to give us options that made us feel so comfortable with putting down a deposit for a puppy! After putting down a deposit, Russell kept us in the loop on our little guy and sent us weekly pictures! Additionally, he so kindly offered for us to meet our little guy as soon as he was old enough to have visitors which we absolutely loved having the option of! Russell also offered an option for our pup to get one on one training time with him for the last few weeks until he came home! This was an amazing option, he started teaching him the name we picked out for him, gave him introduction to being on a leash and crate introduction as well! It’s been a week since we brought Morgan, previously Diamond home and he is integrating into our family quicker and even better than we could have ever expected! We feel so thankful to have found Rocky Mountain Aussies and Russell during our puppy search! We feel so indebted to them for the experience they created on such a big decision of us bringing our newest family member home! We could never thank them enough for all that they did and will absolutely suggest them to anyone in search for an Aussie to add to their family!
