I'm Rheanna J., the breeder behind Rogue Valley Cavaliers located in Grants Pass, OR. We value quality over quantity. We breed in the hopes of finding our next show prospect, which means we rarely have more than 3 litters per year. Each puppy is examined by a veterinarian, microchipped, vaccinated, and dewormed before leaving for their new homes at 10 weeks old.
Q. & A. with Rheanna
Why did you start breeding?
We brought home our first Cavalier in 2011. We started showing her in AKC and bred her in 2013 to produce our first litter. Out of our first litter of 4 puppies, we produced 1 AKC Champion and 2 dogs who earned performance titles.
What makes your program special?
The most important aspect of any breeding program is the ability to be honest with yourself in evaluating your dogs. We evaluate our dogs in accordance with the breed standard and, with each breeding, do our best to choose dogs that will complement each other and produce puppies who are even healthier and more conformationally sound than their parents.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
