Meet the breeder
I'm Lynnea S., the breeder behind Ro-Lyn Pekingese located in Inman, SC. I have been around Pekingese my entire life, as my grandmother had a small kennel when I was growing up. I acquired my first show Peke in 1977 and started breeding in the mid-1980's. I have been showing and breeding on a limited basis for many years now. Our Pekingese have excellent temperaments and are healthy. We strive to breed top quality for the show ring and have won many awards. Most of all, we love our Pekingese!

Why did you start breeding?
I obtained my first show dog in 1977 at the age of 20. I did not show often and it wasn't until the acquisition of my next show Pekingese in 1985 that I started showing occasionally. I bred my first litter in 1991 and started showing and breeding occasionally. I have never bred my Pekes to sell, but rather to breed quality dogs for the ring and the ones not destined for breeding or showing to go to the best pet homes. All potential buyers are vetted and required to sign contracts not to breed and to maintain the proper quality of life for a beautiful and loved family pet. Although I think the fawn/black face Pekes are lovely, I still love the "colors"--black and tan in particular, which I am breeding for to preserve the color.What makes your program special?
The care and diligence I put into my breeding selections to produce not only quality Pekes, but as healthy as possible which is really the number one goal.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red brindle, light red, gray sable, fawn brindle, black, black and tan, and fawn sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
