Q. & A. with Lara
Why did you start breeding?
We love our dogs as our own family. Our goal was continue the wonderful Rottie breed and ensure the fantastic temperament is continued for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
All of our dogs are our family. As such we take great care when selecting a breeding. You can be assured that none of our dogs are inbred. We do a thorough review of the bloodlines, tracing the bloodline at least 5 generations back. Additionally, we perform certified OFA testing. This allows us to ensure we are only enhancing the already wonderful Rottweiler breed.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Rottweilers Vom Hause Schnieber reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Rottweilers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
