I'm Vivian G., the breeder behind Royal Rascals located in Wadsworth, NV. Our dogs are bred with health and temperature in mind. We own both sire and dam (Axel and Gertie). Both parents are very social, well behaved, loving energetic dogs. We have DNA tested both and do frequent vet checks and immunizations.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was encouraged to start breeding by my son. I am a retired ER provider and he works as a State Park Ranger. He is really in love with this bred and together we have worked with the AKC and spoke with other breeders about the process and commitment. This is our second litter and while it is a commitment, it is one we are meeting head on with gusto!

  • What makes your program special?

    We think our program is special secondary to our small breeding program. We are not breeding multiple litters at a time therefore giving each litter, as well as assuring mom’s ability to care for puppies, all the time and attention needed.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Vivian

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Vivian partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
