Q. & A. with Courtney
Why did you start breeding?
Five years ago we bought our first lab, River, and fell in love. He was the absolute best puppy and even better adult dog. Thats when we knew we wanted to get into breeding quality Labrador Retrievers. We went back to River's breeder and found the perfect female for our program. Ruby checked all our boxes and passed all her health testing. And today we have Ruby Rose Labradors.
What makes your program special?
At Ruby Rose Labradors, we prioritize exceptional temperament while adhering to the English Labrador conformation standards. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive health screenings, including DNA genetic testing and OFA evaluations. We perform both required and recommended tests to ensure the long-term health of our lines. Additionally, we carefully assess the temperament of both our sires and dams, with the goal of providing families with well-balanced, loving companions they can truly enjoy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
