I'm Dawn H., the breeder behind RuffHouser English Springer Spaniels located in South Bend, IN. We strive to produce top-quality Springers with good health, structure, and temperaments. First and foremost our dogs are our family pets living with us in our house. Puppies are raised in our house as well and are very well socialized to many sounds and people.
Q. & A. with Dawn
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding when I got my first show dog, Cheyenne, in 2019. I got her with intentions of showing her to her Championship and doing many performance sports. She blew me away with everything she accomplished in 3 years. I decided to breed her to continue on with these amazing dogs and give other people opportunities to own the perfect pet.
What makes your program special?
We have a very selective breeding program. All of the dogs used have to be health tested and fit into what we are looking for. It is not all about looks. It’s about health, temperament, and making the breed better as a whole. We want to continue producing well-bred Springers for generations to enjoy.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
