Beth Q.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Beth Q., the breeder behind Rushmere Labradors located in Norfolk, VA. We are dedicated to the breeding and preservation of the purebred English Labrador Retriever. We breed for conformation, obedience, field, hunt, family companions, therapy, and service work. We look forward to meeting you, and we hope you share our passion for this wonderful breed!

Q. & A. with Beth

  • Why did you start breeding?

Since I can remember I have always had some type of animal by my side. Growing up, I bred and showed quarter horses and had many other furry friends on the farm. The Labrador Retriever reminds me of a little quarter horse that can jump onto your bed. This breed has inspired me in many ways over the years and has filled my heart with more love, joy, and pride than I could have ever imagined.
  • What makes your program special?

At Rushmere Labradors, we put a lot of thought into each litter that we produce. We are constantly evaluating our program for the betterment of the breed and take into consideration each dogs pedigree, health, temperament, soundness, and conformation.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
