I'm Megan R., the breeder behind Ruzicka Family Labradors LLC located in Lyman, NE. We breed happy, healthy, well-rounded Labradors Retrievers. Our dogs are family, and we love sharing them with loving families. We greatly love each puppy! We ensure they are socialized, healthy, and prepared to excel in their forever homes. Our dogs are bred for those specifics, and we take pride in our breeding program. We can't wait to send you home with the newest addition to your loving family!

Why did you start breeding?
We wanted to put our passion for Labrador Retrievers to good use. Breeding healthy, happy puppies is our way to give back to the breed and the families who love them. We want nothing more than to see each of our dogs and puppies shine! It's an amazing feeling knowing we have made a positive contribution to this amazing breed.What makes your program special?
We truly cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience! We truly love what we do and can't wait to connect with you and your family!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"The price also includes first vaccinations, two de-worming shots, and an AKC limited registration packet. Full registration can be discussed if responsible breeding practices are followed. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color or sex. Pups are sold as Limited AKC Registration, Full Registration can be discussed if responsible breeding practices are followed."

Litter update on 22 Jan •…Your wait for your puppy is almost over! Reminder I will bring pups to Cheyenne tomorrow to tractor supply on Hynd at 4:00pm and then again on Saturday at 9am! I am so excited to see/meet you!

Litter update on 19 Jan •…Yellow puppy families! It’s finally your turn for puppy pickup / meet up!! Pups will receive their 2nd dose of vaccinations tomorrow as well as an additional dose of dewormer. Pups are currently on Purina pro plan puppy large breed chicken and rice formula and are fed 3x per day around 630 am noon and 530 in the evening right around a cup to a cup and a half of food per meal time. Tractor supply in Cheyenne has been a wonderful meet up spot for Colorado families to meet me as it’s right off I25 - and if you need puppy supplies you’re already at tractor supply! You may begin to pick up your puppy on Wednesday and thereafter - I will meet Colorado families if you don’t want to come all the way to Nebraska either late afternoon around 4 on Friday or Saturday morning first thing. Puppy needs to be paid for in full right here through the Good Dog prior to leaving our property whether you pick up or I meet you~ please let me know if you have any questions!!

Litter update on 12 Jan •…Breakfast time! Puppies will be 8 weeks next week already! I will finalize pickup / meet up after I get the black pups sent off this week! Pups are fed 3x per day 630 am noon and around 530 in the evening! Purina pro plan chicken and rice is their puppy food. Pups will come to you with two doses of vaccinations and two sets of de wormer all given by our vet and a final wellness exam!! We stagger puppies in the house with us all are shy and timid at first but quickly warm up to being in the house and are very curious and darn right ornery!! Please begin puppy proofing your home and speak with your children the importance of setting boundaries with your puppy and what they can and can not have in your household. Please obtain crate if you haven’t already crate training is a wonderful tool not a punishment - your pup will need its own safe / quiet area to de compress and de stress. Final payments need to be completed right here through the Good Dog at your earliest convenience / prior to puppy leaving me at 8 weeks of age. I hope you’re excited for your new puppy- this is a great little group!💛

Litter update on 12 Jan •…Good evening puppy families! Pups will have their second set of vaccinations and de wormer tomorrow afternoon and their overall wellness exam with the vet! I can’t believe it’s time for new homes already - pups currently eat 3x per day 2 cups of puppy food at each feeding time. Currently, I feed around 630am lunch at noon and evening meal around 5:30 ~ final payments must be made through this platform- the good dog:0) Thank you and I look forward to meeting you if I haven’t already!

Litter update on 02 Jan •…Good afternoon! Reminder if you haven’t already let me know that you’re coming tomorrow and the time to please do so! This is a meet and greet puppy day, depending on picks ahead of you if they’ve made their decision or not you may not know which puppy is yours tomorrow but as we continue to get to 8 weeks of age you should know soon! It’s always fun to see the pups in person, keep in mind a couple of the collar colors you like for when it’s your time to choose a pup! Shots and dewormer went great today! Pup go home date January 21st and thereafter! Pups are on Purina pro plan puppy chicken and rice! Make sure you have a bag prior to go home day!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Animal Genetics Panel, Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
