Meet the breeder

I'm Penny F., the breeder behind Saranade Cavaliers located in Maple Grove, MN. We are a small hobby kennel. Our focus is on showing Cavaliers in the AKC conformation ring and producing happy, healthy Cavaliers that are wonderful examples of the breed. Our Cavaliers live in our home and are a part of our family. They sprawl on our laps while we watch TV, pile into the car for family vacations, and sleep in our bedrooms at night.

Q. & A. with Penny

  • Why did you start breeding?

I began learning about Cavaliers by showing dogs for close friends. I was lucky enough to have great dogs to show, and great friends who mentor me as I learn about the sport and about Cavaliers as a breed.
  • What makes your program special?

We only have one or two litters a year. Each litter is carefully planned to focus on quality puppies. Not every puppy in the litter is destined to become a show dog, so we also strive for happy, healthy puppies that will also be great family dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
