I'm Danielle S., the breeder behind Schmitt Dachshunds located in Ramona, OK. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! We are a small enough program that we are able to thoroughly focus on each individual dog and puppy and their needs. We take pride in the time and dedication we give to every litter.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my first Dachshund 15 years ago and fell in love immediately! We started raising our own about 5 years ago and have loved every minute of it.

  • What makes your program special?

    We breed for health, confirmation and personality traits! Having a good temperament is top priority as we find the perfect homes for our babies! All of our babies are raised in our home with us and our 3 kids and they get lots of love and affection!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Danielle

Danielle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Danielle partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit. The remaining $1,300 - $2,500 is due before pickup, plus applicable taxes and fees.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
