I'm Shaina H., the breeder behind Shaina’s Shepherds located in Macon, GA. Our dogs are incorporated into our family and aren’t just thrown in kennels for breeding. We strive to produce nice quality and temperaments on our pups. All parents are health tested and we focus on breeding genetically clear dogs! We are a family of 6 and all our pups are raised anround our kids☺️. Our Australian Shepherds are medium to lower drive compared to traditional working-line Aussies. We have intentionally bred away from extreme, nonstop working drive while preserving the intelligence, trainability, and instinct the breed is known for. What this means for you: • Intelligent, eager to learn • Playful and affectionate • Adaptable to family life • Not constantly “on” or overwhelming ⚠️ While lower drive, these puppies are still Australian Shepherds, not a low-energy breed. Your puppy will need: • Daily walks or play sessions • Age-appropriate activity (short, frequent sessions) • Avoid forced running/jumping until fully grown (12–18 months) ‼️Too much exercise does not create a calmer dog—structure and routine do. Mental work helps prevent unwanted behaviors. • Short training sessions 1–3x daily • Puzzle toys, snuffle mats, food games • Teach basic commands early (sit, place, leave it) A mentally fulfilled Aussie is a well-behaved Aussie. Your puppy may: • Chase movement • Nip heels during play • Herd kids or other pets This is instinct, not aggression. Redirect early with training and appropriate outlets. Aussies don’t automatically relax. • Use crate training and enforced naps • Reward calm behavior • Teach an “off switch” early Routine helps your puppy feel secure. Early socialization is key. • Introduce safely to people, dogs, sounds, and environments • Supervise children and teach respectful interaction • Consistent rules = confident puppy 🧼 Grooming & Care • Brush 2–3x per week (more during shedding seasons) • Start nail trims and handling early • Do not shave—Aussies have double coats Aussies bond deeply with their families. • Practice short departures early • Avoid making arrivals/departures dramatic • Encourage independence alongside affection Our Aussies are bred to be balanced companions—smart, loving, and manageable—but they thrive best with structure, engagement, and commitment. A well-trained Aussie is an incredible lifelong companion.

About Delta
Delta was born and raised here. She’s a Piper x Chop puppy. She has an amazing temperament and loves to be right with us. She is very laid back, and lower drive. Her coat is long and thick and just simply stunning! I couldn’t have asked to produce a nicer pup to keep back for my program! We absolutely adore her and she will retire and live out her whole life with us! ❤️

Shaina was great to work with and you could tell she knew what she was talking about. Me and my wife found Shauna through Good dog which was extremely easy. We ended up getting Jett from her and we’ve had him for two weeks. We’ve enjoyed every second of it and Shaina has been a big help with any questions we’ve had

Shaina was amazing! She was very communicative throughout the whole process and I enjoyed all the pictures and videos she sent me up until getting our sweet boy. This is the second pup I’ve gotten from her and both times were 10/10 experiences. Not only that, but our sweet boy had such a smooth transition into our home. So far he’s done great at potty training, crate training, is already so smart and is the friendliest little guy. You can definitely tell Shaina puts a lot of work and heart into her puppies!

Shaina's Shepherds were so responsive and great to work with when it came to adopting our puppies! You can tell they really care about their dogs and the homes that they will be placed in. They stayed in touch from sending us updates about our puppy to being available to answer any questions we might have, as well as a check in for pick-up date confirmation. We mentioned that we would be interested in adopting another puppy in addition to the one that we had already claimed, however she was already reserved. It must have been fate because the people who claimed her backed out and Shaina let us know right away that she was available again so we had the opportunity to adopt her as well. We of course said yes and now have two of the cutest, smartest, rambunctious little puppies that we love so much already. Shaina even made sure to check in on both of them the night they went home and follow up a few days later as well to make sure they were adjusting to their new home ok. We are so thankful to Shaina's Shepherds for trusting us with a lifelong of love and care for our amazing Aussie puppies!

Shaina was amazing from the very beginning. She was very responsive and knowledgeable about the breed but also didn't hesitate to provide me with more information, photos and videos. You can tell they really care about their dogs and took amazing care of them up until our pick up date. She stayed in touch and sent me regular updates about my puppy. Good Dog made the process so easy, from the initial connection with Shaina to arranging pick up and paying securely. I'm so glad I found Shaina through Good Dog, and I couldn't be happier with our new addition to the family Kovu!

We had such an amazing experience working with Shaina while getting our Australian Shepherd. From start to finish, she was absolutely wonderful to work with. The turnaround was very quick, and she was incredibly accommodating, even able to meet with us the same day to bring home our little guy, which meant so much to us. Her communication has been outstanding throughout the entire process. She was always responsive, informative, and genuinely caring, which made the experience stress-free and exciting. Our Aussie is truly amazing, sweet, smart, and so well cared for. We could tell immediately that Shaina put so much love and effort into him. He was already working on potty training, and when we took him to the vet, he was very healthy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We are beyond grateful for Shaina and couldn’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and does things the right way, she’s it.
