I'm Julie V., the breeder behind SHIH TZU HOUSE located in Henderson, NV. We’ve been breeding AKC Shih Tzus since 2005 in our loving home in Henderson, Nevada. All puppies are vet-checked, vaccinated, dewormed, genetically tested, and microchipped with AKC Reunite. We offer in-person pickup or delivery, and each puppy comes with a one-year health guarantee against genetic or hereditary conditions, along with a bill of sale and contract.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I was introduced to the world of Shih Tzu breeding through my mother-in-law, who has been a seasoned breeder for over three decades. Her expertise and dedication inspired me to learn everything I could. With her guidance and mentorship, I became actively involved and eventually took on breeding full-time, focusing specifically on champion bloodline Shih Tzus. It's been a rewarding journey ever since.

  • What makes your program special?

    What sets our breeding program apart is both our location and our commitment to quality. We're based in Henderson, Nevada, which provides easy accessibility to California and Arizona. Being originally from the Bay Area, we’ve built lasting relationships with reoccurring clients throughout Northern California, and we regularly serve families across Southern California and the Arizona border. What truly makes our program unique is that we specialize in champion bloodline Shih Tzus, something that’s relatively rare in the Henderson area. All of our dogs are home-raised in a loving, family environment—not in kennels—and they’re treated with exceptional care from day one. Our licensed veterinarian, located just a few blocks away, has been seeing our dogs for years and helps us maintain the highest standards of health and wellness.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black gold and silver, brindle and white, gold and white, black gold and white, black and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Julie

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC registration, a one-year health guarantee, the first round of vaccinations, deworming, and puppy socialization. Each puppy also comes with a small bag of food, toys, a blanket with the mother’s scent, AKC family tree certificate, and full lifetime support. A $500 holding deposit is required to reserve your puppy and ensure it is removed from the active market. This guarantees the puppy’s availability for pickup at the agreed time. Please note that this deposit is non-refundable in the event the buyer changes their mind, as it prevents other serious buyers from securing that puppy. This policy helps protect our time and commitment to matching each puppy with a loving home.”
