I'm Joe S., the breeder behind ShihTzuCt located in Thomaston, CT. We’re devoted to raising and socializing healthy puppies in our home for others to enjoy. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new puppy into their homes!
Q. & A. with Joe
Why did you start breeding?
We've had Shih Tzu's for the past 20 years. Currently have a litter of 6 being raised in our home with 4 adults that they will socialize with over the next 9 - 10 weeks.
My wife and I made the decision to have 1 litter a year knowing that along with our current family of Shih Tzu's vacations would be at home. The love you get from these pups makes everything worthwhile.
What makes your program special?
We have a 1 acre fenced in lot which allows the puppies to become familiar with the house and the outdoors. They will mingle with each other and 4 other Shih Tzu's. They will be paper trained and learning to use the doggie door when the need arises. Mom and the puppies are seen by a Vet Clinic with Breeding as a specialty.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brindle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
