I'm Sherrie W., the breeder behind Silver Valley Yorkies located in Lexington, NC. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of a Yorkie with other individuals and families!

Why did you start breeding?
I always wanted a Yorkie, but never got one til my mom gave me my first one in 1990. I fell hook, line and sinker in love with her and loved the breed so much.
What makes your program special?
Colors consist of Mostly Traditional with occasionally Chocolate/Tan, Blond and sometimes a Sable, in late 2023 I should starting having black puppies. All my dogs are health tested through Embark. I am also inspected by AKC.

Getting a puppy from Sherrie
Sherrie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
