Meet the breeder

I'm Rhonda S., the breeder behind Simply Happy Dachshunds located in Pauls Valley, OK. We love helping families find the perfect puppy and take pride in being responsible breeders devoted to raising healthy, happy dogs.

Q. & A. with Rhonda

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding because my family fell in love with this breed’s personality and loyalty. We decided to raise puppies responsibly so other families could experience that same love and joy.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised right in the middle of our family life. They grow up around children, everyday noise, and lots of love, which helps them transition easily into their new homes. We stay connected with our families and offer support long after the puppies leave.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rhonda

Rhonda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rhonda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $8,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“All of my puppies will go to their new homes with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. They will be microchipped and kept up to date on vaccinations and deworming to ensure they receive the very best start in life. A signed contract is required. The contract includes a return-to-breeder clause (if at any time you are unable to keep your puppy, he or she must be returned to me), as well as a mandatory spay/neuter agreement and a strict pet-only placement policy. At no point in this dog’s life is he or she to be bred. My puppies are placed strictly as companions and are never sold with breeding rights. Upon completion of the contract, I will also require a copy of a valid ID (driver’s license or state-issued identification card). A $1,000 non-refundable holding fee is required to reserve a puppy. This holding fee is applied toward the total purchase price and demonstrates serious intent and commitment to providing a lifelong home. The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup. All payments must be submitted through GoodDog. My goal is to ensure every puppy is placed in a loving, responsible, and permanent home where they will be cherished as family for a lifetime.”

Contract & health guarantee

Rhonda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Rhonda offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Rhonda directly.

All contracts are handled securely through Good Dog.

My dachshund is beautiful, socialized and full of love. This is because of Rhonda’s loving care. Thank you Rhonda!

Rhonda was great to work with and our new dachshund puppy is a perfect match for us! The first thing that caught our eye about Rhonda's puppies were their beautiful looks and stunning photos. We loved that Rhonda included a video of her puppies on their profile that allowed us to gauge their personalities a bit more. Rhonda was kind, responsive, and easy to work with. She responded shortly after our application was submitted and was happy to send additional videos of the specific puppy that we were interested in. She even offered to set up a video chat so that we could see the puppy again before making our final decision, and she was willing to answer questions we had about health, history, training exposure, payment, etc. Once we decided that we wanted (needed) the puppy, Rhonda made herself available the following day and was accommodating of our schedule. She arrived on time with our sweet boy and a goody bag full of puppy essentials, which was considerate and appreciated! She was reasonable with our request to minorly amend our contract, and followed up shortly after parting ways to provide additional tips for helping our new puppy adjust to his new home. Our experience with Rhonda was smooth and positive. We couldn't be happier with our sweet boy, and we would definitely consider using Rhonda as a breeder again in the future.
