I'm Shanice B., the breeder behind Simply Sharing Love located in Willard, UT. As experienced breeders, we do everything we can to ensure breed standards are passed down to each new litter. We’re proud to be positively contributing to this wonderful breed.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love fish and started with fan tail guppies. It was amazing to watch and protect life. In 2005 I was given a breeding pair of Lovebirds and then in 2008 I bought a Shaded Red Female Dachshund puppy. She opened my eyes to the need for emotional support animals and how a Dachshund heals you from traumas and pain you didn't even know you were suppressing.

  • What makes your program special?

    I breed for temperament and conformation. I socialize with lots of different animals, cats, chickens and goats. Soon to be peacocks and ducks. Weather permitting they are socialized with children of all ages. I do not force wean my puppies.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired, wirehaired, and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, wild boar, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, fawn (isabella) and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, blue and cream, black and cream, blue and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Shanice

Shanice has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Shanice partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“All placements are conducted through an application-based process to ensure appropriate matching between each puppy and their prospective home. A $500 non-refundable Application Processing Fee is required for consideration. This fee covers administrative review, time, and resources, and does not reserve or guarantee a specific puppy. Approved applicants will have this fee applied toward the final purchase price. Puppy Cam access, when applicable, may be offered as an additional feature and is also applied toward the final purchase price. Puppies are not selected, sold, or reserved prior to in-person interaction. All buyers are required to physically meet and evaluate the puppy before any final decision is made. Final payment and contract execution occur only after the buyer has interacted with and voluntarily accepted the puppy in person. For out-of-state buyers or those traveling by air, in-person meetings will be arranged at a pre-designated location selected by the breeder to ensure a safe, controlled, and appropriate environment for both the puppies and all parties involved. These meetings are structured to allow for in-person evaluation prior to any transfer of ownership while maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of the animals. Buyers retain the right to decline placement at the time of meeting. No ownership or transfer occurs until the puppy has been physically evaluated and accepted.”

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I was so happy I found Shanice and Simply Sharing Love breeders! My own dachshund, Inara, had died, and she was my emotional support animal. I was lucky to find Shanice soon after on Good Dog, trying to find a puppy I could train to do Inara's job. I was thrilled Shanice was in my area, and she responded immediately to my request. I actually looked at another dog before I found my Persephone, but Shanice suggested I might like Persephone (then place named Kara) a bit more. She couldn't have been more right. Throughout the process, we kept in touch as I made my decision. She intimately knew each of her puppies' temperaments, and I was able to visit to confirm that Persephone was the right pup for me. All the pups were in excellent health, were well socialized and intelligent and sweet natured, showing they'd grown up in an excellent environment. Since bringing Persephone home, Shanice has been a friend, giving advice if needed, and keeping tabs on my dear little girl. Persephone is a loving, caring, and smart little thing, as well, as healthy. She is so loyal and sweet natured! I HIGHLY recommend Simply Sharing Love. If you can, absolutely trust Shanice to find you the perfect match to your personality, needs, and home. She knows what she's doing, and loves what she does, and loves the dachshund breed. As a side note, we also ended up bringing home Riley, Persephone's half sister, for my autistic son. He's blossomed so well having Riley in his life, and Riley is absolutely devoted to him.
