Meet the breeder

I'm Kiley K., the breeder behind SK Golden Retrievers located in Driggs, ID. We are a family of 4 and work together in our breeding program. Having dogs in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! The loyalty and loving disposition of golden retrievers are simply the best, and something we are passionate about! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have an easy transition with their new pup. We aim to breed calm tempered dark goldens (dark golden and red in color). We do a lot of work with our puppies from day 1 of their lives including daily handling and socialization, sound desensitization, socialization with our other dogs, lots of people and car rides, and we start introducing them to the crate around 6 weeks old in hopes we get a good couple weeks of training them in the crate. We use pellet boxes to litter train them as well starting early (around 3 weeks). We try to temperament test each litter at 7 weeks of age so we can provide info on each of their specific energy levels. All our dogs and pups are very loved on by all 4 members of our family, and we love to see them go to the perfect families!

Q. & A. with Kiley

  • What makes your program special?

We put our heart and love into our dogs and our puppies. We are very invested in their upbringing, and doing the best job we can to start them out in life with the best! I believe our breeding program is special because its hands on with our entire family, and we are all very involved in every aspect of our program from planning litters, whelping them, raising them, and choosing homes for them. Our number one goal is to provide a good life for our dogs and all our puppies, and that involves good homes and not a life in kennels or solely just for breeding. We feel each of our breeding females should be a member of a family and raised that way.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden and golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
