I'm Katrina S., the breeder behind Skramstad Shepherds located in Long Prairie, MN. Here at Skramstad Shepherd's producing high quality, well bred dogs is very important to us. Pups are raised in our home with our young children. Utd when they go home, crate and potty training started before they leave, contract required.

Why did you start breeding?
After doing research and finding a few mentors familiar with the breed I knew this was going to be for me. It's more of a passion as I run a very small breeding program and only have 1 maybe 2 litters a year. I have 4 dogs total, 2 of which are retired. They're our family first.
What makes your program special?
We raise these pups in our home as if they were our own. I also offer boarding services for any of my dogs as this allows us to watch them grow in a way most breeders don't get to experience.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Katrina

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Utd on shots when they leave, dewormed bi weekly starting at 2 weeks of age, tails docked, parents clear on full panel and OFA good, started on potty training and crate training, raised in our home, socialization started before they leave. Lifetime breeder support. Deposit holds the puppy until pick up date and goes towards their total price."

About Raya
Raya is still such a playful puppy. She loves chasing ball and she is moose definitely a follower before a leader. She's the sweetest dog and my biggest cuddler. Both her and the sire don't know the meaning of personal space. She's a fantastic mother who's always keeping an eye out.

Rider is my protector who never leaves my side. He keeps everyone in line. He's very alert but he's a couch potato who enjoys naps on the couch and belly rubs. Everyone who meets him loves him.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
