Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
I've had Australian Shepherds for 35 plus years now as pets/companions on the farm and knew one day I would breed them when the time was right. There is a lot of research that has to be done before even considering breeding. It is a continual learning process as new information becomes available.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are part of my family life. I do health testing before deciding if they are breeding quality. In addition to temperament, structure, and beauty, my dogs are well cared for, healthy, friendly and happy. I know my dogs like I know my own children. Each one with their own unique personality and traits. There is nothing like an Aussie.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
