Q. & A. with Sigrun

  • Why did you start breeding?

We love to do our best to improve the breed health wise and also conformationally.
  • What makes your program special?

We only do two to three litters a year and want only the best for our dogs. We are not in the business of making money, rather making memories. My kids love the puppies and the experiences they have with our dogs are priceless.

It was wonderful working with Sigrun. She shared many updates and photos of our puppy along the way and it was clear that her dogs are loved and well cared for. We have had our sweet puppy for over a month now and we are delighted. She is very well socialized and so sweet with our kids and their friends.

Sigrun from Solheimar was amazing to work with—super responsive, easy to communicate with, and you can tell right away how much she truly cares about her dogs. Our puppy Robb came home in great health, with an awesome temperament, and was already picking up on going outside, which made things so much easier. He’s clearly been raised with a lot of attention and love. You don’t always know what you’re going to get when working with a breeder, but with Sigrun, you can feel confident. She runs things the right way, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a Cavalier.

We obtained our puppy from Sigrund in January 2025. I have always wanted a CKCS but had never purchased a purebred dog before. We have been extremely pleased with the decision we made to obtain one of Sigrun’s puppies. He is the light of our lives. She was extremely communicative and responsive during the process and very open about her breeding practices. She provided daily updates on his progress. He is a beautiful and sweet, loving dog. I am very familiar with dogs and I cannot emphasize enough how well socialized he was by her and her family. While health is a huge factor, for me, socialization is just as important. She welcomed us into her home to meet not only our puppy, but her family and the rest of her dogs which were beautiful and very friendly. It was obvious to me that she loves her dogs and cares about the breed’s welfare. Thank you Sigrund!

Sigrun is an exceptional breeder. She maintains constant responsiveness and promptly sends us all the pictures and videos of our puppy’s growth since birth. This level of communication made us feel incredibly connected to her when we finally picked her up. Additionally, Sigrun possesses extensive knowledge about Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and provided us with comprehensive guidance on how to ensure our new puppy’s smooth transition into its new home.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Sigrun to bring our new puppy, Ziggy, into our family. From the very first moment we reached out, she was in constant contact—always responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly informative. She answered all of our questions right away and made the entire process feel seamless and personal. Sigrun went above and beyond by sending us regular updates with photos and videos every couple of days. It was so reassuring to see how loved and well cared for he was, and we could tell he was being raised in a very caring environment. When it came time to pick him up, everything was perfectly prepared. Sigrun had all of the necessary medical information organized for us and even welcomed us to spend time with Ziggy’s mom and the other dogs. It was such a special experience. We’re so happy with Ziggy and the entire process that we’ve already decided to return in a few months to bring home another puppy from Sigrun. We can’t recommend her enough—she’s truly passionate about what she does, and it shows in every step.
