Meet the breeder

I'm Morgan D., the breeder behind Sona Kennels located in Sandyston, NJ. Our focus is on raising level-headed, eager pups that will first and foremost be a loving family member but can also perform whatever task is asked of them. All of our adult breeding dogs are have OFA & genetic health clearances.

Q. & A. with Morgan

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our focus is on raising level-headed, eager pups that will first and foremost be a loving family member but can also perform whatever task is asked of them. They live in our home and are a part of our family. Although a breeder can never guarantee a puppy will be without hereditary defects, we take steps to do the best we can to ensure healthy puppies and offer a 26 month health guarantee.
  • What makes your program special?

Our goal is that our dogs are versatile and can go in any direction you desire to take them whether that is a performance sport dog, a therapy prospective, a hunting/herding partner, or a lifetime family companion. They will be exposed to new environments, multiple surfaces/objects, and a variety of everyday noises. All puppies will also be started on potty training and crate training.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
